Testimonials

Jin from Manhattan, NY, Sept 2009:

The teachers are always available to speak with. I needed a lot of help for school work and college advice. Thanks to Ivy Bound, I'm now at the University of Rochester 7-Year Medical Program, even though I started from basic English at your place 5 years ago when I first came from China!

Mrs. Lian from upstate New York, April 2009:

My husband and I have saved over $200,000 for our daughter's tuition. She received a full scholarship for four years from NYU-Stern. Thank you so much for your help for her high SAT scores!

Mr. and Mrs. Lawren from Brooklyn, New York, May 2009:

Both our son and daughter took SAT Prep at Ivy Bound. Jason is now at Cooper Union and Lin is heading to Sophie Davis. They will have the best education without paying tution. Thank you Ivy Bound for saving us so much money!

Yin from Queens, New York, May 2009:

I was so worried about getting into college. The teachers at Ivy-Bound, especially Jeremy, Agnes, and Dr. He, always told me to relax and that I would have my pick of schools to choose from. You were right! I was accepted at all the seven Ivies I had applied and MIT! I could never thank you enough, Ivy!

Kenny from Manhatan, December 2009:

My mother and I are so grateful to Ivy Bound. You have helped me so much, not only academically, but also personally. Thank you Tom, Jeremy, Agnes, and Dr. He! Next September, I will be starting my freshman year at Columbia!

Jennifer from Canada, January 2010:

Your teachers are really professionals. You have good teachers for every subject!

Chris from Manhattan, New york, January, 2009:

Tom really helped me with my high school courses. I truly feel that without his assistance, I would not be at Georgetown today! Miss you, Tom. Miss you, Ivy teachers!

Brian from New Jersey, February 2010:

You guys are able to help me in anything and at any time! I am so happy that you can still help me even though I am in college.

Bonnie from Noth Carolina, March, 2010:

Ivy Bound is really different from others test prep places. The teachers are always prepared for class. There is always something to learn and not a minute is wasted.

Benjamin from Shanghai, China, March 2010:

I enjoyed every minute last summer program at Ivy. The teachers made the SAT classes interesting and fun. I improved more than 300 points. Thank you, all teachers at Ivy-Bound. I plan to go back this summer because I want to get above 2300 this October.

The teachers really care and I feel confident that my child will always get the best help possible.

The weekly three hour car trips from Connecticut were were worth it. My son is now doing Pre-Med at Cornell!

While some of my freinds were at summer camp, I spent my summer in Forest Hills doing SAT Prep at Ivy Bound. I'm from Connecticut and even though I had to stay at a hotel, it was totally worth it. I went up over 400 points in my total score!

I tell all my friends to send their kids to Ivy Bound Test Prep.

I started Ivy Bound at nine years old, prepping for the ELA test with Agnes. Now I'm fifteen and a freshman at Stuyvesant. I still look forward to coming here each week and working with Agnes!

Whenever there's a test, I call Ivy Bound!

I was admitted early decision at Yale this year. Thank you Jeremy for all your help on the college essay!

I can always get the teacher I want. The program and teachers are always consistent.

How do you divide students into different classes?
We divide students according to their levels. We have different levels of lessons for each subject we are offering.

How do you track students' progress?
Teachers check students’ homework after each class. Students have quizzes weekly and practice tests weekly or monthly. We contact students and parents immediately should we determine that a student may be falling behind and in need of extra help.

I have very good grades in my school. Do I still need tutoring?
Yes. You can always challenge yourself to higher standards of learning. If you are aiming high, it is important to learn extra and to put in more effort to be competitive. To be truly successful requires much more than what any standard school curriculum can offer.

If I want to get into a top high school and top university, what time is good for me to start tutoring?
There are no limits to what you can achieve and there is never a time that is too early to dream big.  You should start tutoring in fifth grade if you want to get into the best junior high school; in sixth or seventh grade if you aim to reach the best high school; in ninth grade if you want to reach a top university. You should start extra learning as soon as you establish your goal.

If I stay in your school for several years, will I run out of things to learn or find myself repeating the same materials every year?
Our content development team has been carefully accumulating materials for over 12 years and it will take just about that long for any individual to learn everything that we have to offer.  Students who have worked with us for a long time, some up to eight years, have learned something new everyday, never repeating a lesson for any subject. We have different levels of lessons for every subject. Students can continue with us until graduate school level.

What is the successful rate of your tutoring programs?
All the motivated and disciplined students and 90% of all our students achieve their desired results.

Do your teachers teach or just check students’ s work in class?
Our teachers teach lessons in each class. Students do homework after class at home and teachers check it later.
